Originally, Medabots Ds Kamaturu did not have emotions on the medals, unlike the original series. It automatically attacked any enemy that was in front of it. This was later changed to the newer Edit Code which limits their attacks and makes them more useful. Their form was also changed. It was smaller, and more geared towards attacking and surviving. One new addition was the Demolition Mode. It allows you to destroy anything using the Medabot's offensive power. When used in conjunction with the Mechabot Arm, it is a powerful technique, and can even destroy the edge of a cliff.
Soon after Ikki and Metabee save the world from King Dedede's invasion, fighting Rogue Medabots begins again, as a group of rogue Kilobots escape destruction and cause chaos. Ikki's medaparts are boosted, but the newly created Death Medarshi breaks his old medaparts pushing him to become a medafighter again. The Gameboy Advance version of the game also has a new feature called "Kill Mode" (Demolition Mode is introduced as well). While one player is controlling the medabot with the B button, the other controls the mechabot with the A button. This allows them to conduct a combined attack with the two mechabots, which can be performed in all the game's game modes. It also allows the mechabot to move in any direction, allowing it to cut up or bypass any obstacle (albeit at a destructive cost to the medabot). There are three different levels of this, each with a slightly different effect, and one that can be done without the other two. The first level cost 10 HP to perform, and causes a small explosion, however the medabot is thrown to the opposite side of the screen like an earthquake.
Despite the feature being in the game, it was not put on the Disks. The reason listed is that because it will most likely kill the player in the process, he won't be able to enjoy himself (leaving it up to the player's discretion). A similar feature called "Demolition Mode" was introduced on the PlayStation 3 version of the game, however it has a different effect depending on how many flowerlights (the destroyer's theme) are collected; the higher the number, the better. d2c66b5586
