First, we visited Apple's support website and selected assistance for the iPhone, chose the battery option and then selected "battery replacement." We decided it would be best to try to get the battery swapped in an Apple Store, and selected the "bring in for repair" option.
Apple said it couldn't replace the battery in our iPhone 6 for about two weeks. An employee said that about 90 percent of his appointments are for battery replacements, which suggests Apple can't keep up with the demand right now.
On the other hand, Apple said it could replace the battery in our iPhone 6s in just two hours. It was also eligible for a free battery replacement since it was purchased between October and November 2015. Phones sold at that time were more sensitive to temperature changes, causing them to turn off.
Another colleague at CNBC said she took two iPhone 6 units to a Best Buy, also with an appointment made through Apple's website, and was told that there wasn't stock available to replace her battery. A call to Best Buy a week later confirmed there still weren't any batteries available.
While Apple has said it will soon release an update that will let users see their battery health and even deactivate Apple's automatic slowdowns on the processor, we still recommend getting your battery replaced.
Is your device underperforming? There are also remedies such as force restarting the iPhone. Force restarting your iPhone can stop all unnecessary apps and programs from running, which cause your battery to die faster than usual.
The update alerts you when your battery is working and if you need to replace it. If you need a new battery, book a phone repair appointment with Puls online within seconds for replacement that comes to you wherever you prefer, within the same day. To check the health of your battery, follow these easy steps:
This is another indication that your iPhone is in need of a battery replacement right away. Cooling down the device will allow you to save money on replacing the entire phone, and focus on getting a new battery for your existing iPhone.
Going to the Apple store may be your first call to action, but consider the out-of-warranty costs associated. If your AppleCare+ warranty has expired, expect to pay $79.00 for your iPhone 6 battery replacement.
Battery degradation is an inevitable part of your iPhone's lifespan, extend it with this new replacement battery compatible with iPhone 6s. If your iPhone 6s won't turn on, is stuck in a boot loop, has a "service battery" warning, or simply won't hold a charge, this replacement battery may be what you need to fix it.
For optimal performance, calibrate your newly installed battery: Charge it to 100% and keep charging it for at least 2 more hours. Then use your device until it shuts off due to low battery. Finally, charge it uninterrupted to 100%.
The standard life for an iPhone 6 battery is 7 and a half hours. If your battery is not lasting that long consider changing your battery settings, running fewer background programs or getting a battery replacement from a repair professional.

Perhaps more importantly, the battery life was also excellent at the time of release. The more efficient 20nm CPU certainly helped: playing a 720p video with flight mode on and the screen set to a brightness of 120cd/m2, the battery depleted at 7.5% per hour, while streaming audio continuously from our SoundCloud account over 3G with the screen off reduced capacity at 1.7% per hour.
I bought my iPhone 13 Pro in november and it had 100% until the end of april when it dropped to 99%. It had been like that for a while then suddenly dropped to 95% and after 2 weeks i saw it dropped again by 1%. Also it started to have running problems and I think all that is from the last update, after the update I saw the big battery life drop
The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus received positive reviews, with critics regarding their redesign, specifications, camera, and battery life as being improvements over previous iPhone models. However, aspects of the design of iPhone 6 were also criticized, including plastic strips on the rear of the device for its antenna that disrupted the otherwise metal exterior, and the screen resolution of the standard-sized iPhone 6 being lower than other devices in its class. The iPhone 6 sold extremely well, making it the best-selling iPhone model and the most successful smartphone to date.
The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were officially unveiled during a press event at the Flint Center for Performing Arts in Cupertino, California on September 9, 2014, and released on September 19, 2014; pre-orders began on September 12, 2014, with the iPhone 6 starting at US$649 and the iPhone 6 Plus starting at US$749.[31] In China, where the iPhone 5C and 5S were the first models in the iPhone series to be released in the country on the same day as their international launch, Apple notified local wireless carriers it would be unable to release the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on the 19th there were "details which are not ready"; local media reported the devices had not yet been approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and earlier in the year, a news report by state broadcaster China Central Television alleged iPhone devices were a threat to national security because iOS 7's "frequent locations" function could expose "state secrets."[32][33]
In regards to the 6 Plus, Engadget panned its design for being uncomfortable to hold and harder to grip in comparison to other devices such as the Galaxy Note 3 and LG G3, but praised its inclusion of optical image stabilization and slightly better battery life than the 6.[50]
Making sure you can always count on your device is crucial. When a battery needs replacing we want to make it easy. Our stores don't do replacements as we don't make or manufacture the phone. There are a few routes available to get it replaced though. An Apple store can do so in store or the phone can be sent in for replacement. You can find details at
The iPhone 6 is a sleek, stylish phone with a 4.7-inch screen, Multi-Touch, backlit LCD, a power-efficient A8 processor, and 1GB of RAM. It has a non-removable Li-Po 1810 mAh battery, providing 14 hours of talk time, 10 hours of internet usage, and up to 250 hours of standby time. The rear camera is 8MP while the front-facing "selfie" camera is 1.2MP.
Let me show you how I replaced my iPhone 6 battery. After about a year of use, the phone didn't last long at all. I use my phone for work and I'm depending on good battery life. I bought the highest rated iPhone 6 battery kit from Amazon (iPhone 6 battery kit) for $30 and it worked out great! This kit was just slightly more expensive than others but based on the company's previous batteries who all had great reviews I decided to go with this. Now my phone lasts about a day and a half with heavy usage. The batteries are also sold on their site: www.scandi.tech
Before I begin I want to say that almost all screws inside the iPhone 6 are of different lengths. It's extremely important that each screw is put back into its correct place. If you mix up screws, it's better to proceed with the battery replacement without them. If you put the wrong screw in the wrong hole, it can damage the phone's logic board! On Step 3 I show how I organized my screws. If you keep track of the screws, the changing the battery should not be a very difficult project.
Step 2: Unscrew the metal plate on top of the battery connector and remove the metal plate with you fingers or the tweezers.Disconnect the battery's connector underneath the plate with a plastic tool. The connector will come loose easily with very little force.
Step 3: I removed the front assembly from the phone completely. You can proceed without removing the front assembly but once again, the cables can tear if the front is not held carefully. If the cables tear, a new front assembly costs around $100. To remove the front assembly unscrew the five screws holding the top metal plate and put the screws and the plate aside.Disconnect the LCD, touch, front camera/sensor and home button connectors with a plastic tool, just like you disconnected the battery connector in the previous step.
Step 4: There are a few ways to proceed with the battery removal. The battery is held in place with two strips of STRONG adhesive. These adhesive strips can be pulled out from underneath the phone. If they tear, the battery will have to be pried/levered out (see 1st and 5th picture) from the LEFT side of the phone (NOT against the logic board). You can heat the back side of the phone with a hair dryer to soften the adhesive, the battery will come out easier this way.
I levered the battery's left corner upwards and pulled the adhesive out along the battery's left side. Doing it this way will reduce the risk of the adhesive tearing. You can also pull the adhesive straight down, towards the charging port, but like I said, it tears easier that way. Once the adhesive is out, the battery can be removed with your fingers.
Step 5: Put new adhesive in place and put the battery on top of it. If your battery did not come with adhesive, regular tape is fine. Take a piece of tape and make a loop out of it with the sticky side out. Put the loop of tape in the same place where the old adhesive was and press the battery down with your fingers. 781b155fdc
