Grand revelations are revealed when the Guardians race to find Chibi-usa who ran away from home before she can fall prey to the Specter Sisters and their sadistic Master Rubeus. Tropes for this episode include: Ambiguous Situation: The Black Moon Clan did something to Chibi-usa's mother and has been unable to recover for a long period of time. Arson, Murder, and Admiration: Sailor Moon thinks of the pink menace as precocious, micheivous, and pretty annoying. And despite all of that...Sailor Moon: I can't seem to hate her. Autobots, Rock Out!: When the Sailor Guardians have their showdown with the Specter Sisters, the song Ai no Senshi plays in the background. The DiC dub would play the equally epic She's Got the Power during the fight. Bait-and-Switch: Usagi and Luna are mortified when they see the bed wet believing that the former was responsible. But it's soon revealed that it was Chibi-usa's doing. Barrier Maiden: The Sailor Guardians of the Future are the last line of defense as they've concentrated their power into maintaining an impenetrable barrier to defend Crystal Tokyo. Big Damn Heroes: Luna and Luna-P show up to protect Chibi-usa from the Younger Sisters. The Cavalry: When it looks like Moon and Chibi-usa are cornered by the Four Specter Sisters, the Inner Guardians show up ready to do battle. Counterpart Combat Coordination: Each Guardian does combat against a Specter Sister who matches them in power/color scheme. Declaration of Protection: Sailor Moon gains the strength to stand up and confront Rubeus.Sailor Moon: Not yet... I refuse to be defeated this easily... I will protect her... WITH MY LIFE!! Dissonant Serenity: Both Berthier and Koan decide to make a game out of who can kill the Rabbit first as they calmly approach the terrified little girl. Embarrassing Damp Sheets: The bun-head wakes up horrified to find that her bed is wet. She then finds that the true culprit was Chibi-usa who was sharing the same bed. Energy Ball: Rubeus attacks Sailor Moon using purple energy balls of death. Face Framed in Shadow: The petite estranger's maman is covered in a stylistic shadow during her daughter's flashback. Flashback: Chibi-usa remembers a time when she wet the bed at a younger age and was comforted by her mother. Genre Savvy: Luna is fully aware that when the little brat gets upset, she'll unleash a burst of energy making her a target for her enemies. I Was Having Such a Nice Dream: Usagi starts the episode by having a wonderful dream where she was marrying her Prince Charming and the guests were raining champagne on them. It unfortunately ends with her waking up to discover that her bed is wet. Internal Reveal: Rubeus and the Specter Sisters formally introduce themselves, the name of their organization, and their motivations to Sailor Moon. Improbable Weapon User: Tuxedo Mask uses an array of roses to counter Rubeus Dark Energy Attack. It's surprisingly effective. Ironic Echo: When Berthier gets tripped over by Luna-P, Koan teases her with \"you're quite the eyesore, sister\" (In the Viz Dub, it's \"you snooze, you lose\"). Then when Koan gets her face scratched by Luna, her older sister taunts her with the same phrase. No Sympathy: No one shows mercy to Usagi after the bed wetting incident. Luna initially believed she was responsible and pointed out that a middle schooler like her shouldn't do that. Shingo teases her as if she really did it. And Chibi-usa doesn't even apologize for it. Plot Hole: In the second act, the Inner girls are waiting for Usagi so they can go shopping. Neither they or the bun-head have considered using their new communicators to contact each other. Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Chibi-usa tries to go back home using her special key. To her distress, it doesn't work. Seers: The wizard Wiseman appears before Rubeus to tell him about the Rabbit unleashing a burst of energy so he can assign the Specter Sisters to be on the lookout. Tactical Withdrawal: Rubeus orders the Four Sisters to retreat after being nearly hit with Moon Princess Halation. Villain Ball: Berthier and Koan take their sweet time approaching the defenseless child while deciding who among them should kill her. This gives Luna-P and Luna enough time to help Chibi-usa escape their clutches. Wham Episode: The Guardians become informed about the Black Moon Clan while the audience learns the true identity of Chibi-usa's mother. Wham Shot: Wiseman explains that four guardians are maintaining the barrier that protects Crystal Tokyo. It's shown to be the same Inner Guardians we know and love. The last scene has the hooded boogeyman pull up a hologram of the Future Queen, and Chibi-usa's mother, who's revealed to be Usagi Tsukino. You Are Not Alone: Puu reminds Small Lady that she's never alone and she'll always be in the company of Guardians who will protect her from the forces of evil.
In the 1993 favorite episode listings for Animage, \"Loved and Chased! Luna's Worst Day Ever\" came in first place, with \"Naru's Cry! Nephrite Dies for Love\" coming in third place, \"The Sparkling Silver Crystal! The Moon Princess Appears\" coming in sixth place, \"Memories Return! Usagi and Mamoru's Past\" coming in ninth place and \"Love for Ami! A Boy Who Can Predict the Future\" coming in eleventh place.[4] The following year, the two-part series finale \"The Sailor Warriors Die! The Tragic Final Battle\" and \"Usagi's Everlasting Wish! A New Reincarnation\" took first and second place respectively.[5] Eight DVD compilations were released in Japan between May 21 and July 21, 2002,[6][7] and the series was later released in a remastered edition in two box-sets from December 11, 2009 to January 21, 2010.[8][9]
In the English language adaptation of the series by former licensee DIC Entertainment, the season was cut down to 40 episodes and also added an ending segment, \"Sailor Says,\" to teach a moral based on the story that had just been shown.[10][11][12] The episodes were first broadcast on YTV in Canada from August 28 to October 24, 1995, and later had its first-run syndication in the United States from September 11 to November 3, 1995. The first season was later released by ADV Films in a subtitle-only DVD box set in 2003. Eventually, on May 16, 2014, the season was re-licensed for an updated English-language release by Viz Media and they released the season in two uncut DVD and Blu-ray compilations on November 11, 2014 and February 10, 2015 for parts one and two respectively. Hulu began streaming the series in the United States on May 19, 2014, with Tubi TV following suit in Canada on July 15, 2016.
The score was composed by Takanori Arisawa. Three pieces of theme music are used for the episodes; one opening theme and two closing themes. The opening theme for the whole season is \"Moonlight Densetsu\" performed by the idol group DALI.[13] \"Heart Moving\", performed by Misae Takamatsu of Sakura Sakura, is used as the ending theme for the first 26 episodes,[13] and \"Princess Moon\", performed by Ushio Hashimoto, is used for the remainder of the season.[14] DIC Entertainment made an English-language version of the Japanese opening theme for its adaptation.[15]
Three episodes have passed and Usagi is walking to school. She stops when she notices a traffic check point. Naru arrives beside her, seeming to be in a depressed state. Late for school, they rush to their classroom, making it in just the nick of time.
It's rewarding when your nostalgia for a story is confirmed, whether its that a book you loved as a child is still good when you read it years later or that a spot is as magical at twenty-five as it was when you discovered it at ten. This episode of Sailor Moon Crystal is one of those experiences, bringing Usagi back to her more powerful self and correcting some of the issues that the previous episodes had, including a little joke at the author/show's expense when Sailor Venus gripes about not getting to do anything. It does try to cram a little too much in as it leads up to the finale of the Black Moon arc, which ends up mostly wasting Tuxedo Mask, but it is a large step in the direction of ending the season on a strong note in a few weeks.
Unfortunately by trying to handle Usagi's (re)awakening and the initial appearance of Black Lady in one episode, other subplots suffer. Rubeus' escape attempt is forgettable as it's just sort of thrown in as other things are happening, and Tuxedo Mask's pursuit of his daughter in time/space feels like a throw-away, as if there couldn't just be two characters standing around worrying, so he was sent off before the plot was really ready for him. Likewise King Endymion just hangs around; Venus is at least engaged in research. (That library...) It also feels like there's a gap in Pluto's storyline, as one moment we see her artfully collapsed on the ground and the next she's able to use her staff to help Sailor Moon and the others. Was there a recovery time Did she just physically get knocked down by the storm, or did it affect her mentally We may never know.
Despite these issues, this is one of the strongest episodes of Sailor Moon Crystal we've had. The plot is moving, Usagi has it together, and there's villainous plotting going on that's sure to throw a wrench in the works. It's one of those episodes that helps you to remember why you were excited for this show in the first place.
There are only two episodes left and the wedding is in two weeks. Will we get a Howard and Bernadette wedding this season And, what about Howard's trip to space Will that be the over-the-hiatus trip this year
Princess Dia was the shy spectacle-wearing princess of D Kingdom (called Diamond Kingdom in the original anime) who appeared in episode 22 of the anime series, Act 4 of the manga, and Act 4 of Sailor Moon Crystal. She owned a famous crystal, which Luna and Queen Beryl thought might be the Silver Crystal, which would make her the Moon Princess. She was briefly possessed by Nephrite's shadow, which influenced her to act on behalf of the Dark Kingdom. 59ce067264
