On 1 August 2018, Bjork announced that she would be entering the world of electronic music with the release of her third studio album Human Behaviour. With the release of the album, the trilogy she began with the release of Vulnicura and Loss comes to an end. The album is due to be released on 20 September 2018 on the Icelandic label One Little Indian (Owned by Bjork's brother Bjarni), with a North American release scheduled for early 2019. Bjork is producing the album herself and has already begun recording with the band Blood Bros. on drums.

On 5 June 2019, Bjork performed at the Glastonbury Festival for the first time since Vulnicura and Loss and her performance was met with critical acclaim. On 29 June 2019, Bjork performed at the Coachella Festival. On 2 July 2019, Bjork performed at the Prides in London. On 14 July 2019, Bjork performed at the Lollapalooza. On 1 August 2019, Bjork performed at the Stereosonic in Melbourne. On 15 August 2019, Bjork performed at the Rewind Festival in Sydney.
