My best friend's brother just got this new handheld iPod-like thingy. It's South Korean, has (approx) a 4-inch screen, can play 720p video and music, movies, pictures, etc. Everything that an iPod can do (plus 720p vids), but on a bigger screen. I'm in the market for a new portable media player device thingy that's not and iPod and this thing looks like it fits the bill. Only thing is, I have no idea what it is, what it's called, or where to look for it. Does anyone know of such a device, or where I could buy one? flaminglawyer 00:12, 27 January 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
These are all facts about Viasat internet, forget about playing games online. Their speed's too slow, movies are grainy, some you can't watch, took them 2 weeks for a service to fix a small problem, while internet was off, double charged me in a month before, taking charges of a unauthorized debit card 6 days earlier than due date said didn't receive it, sent email with bank statement to prove it was paid. Said it has to go through corporate, sent it to corporate 7 days ago they say it was going to take another five days, called them. They was rude and said they didn't see it, and it will take another 5 days, one person said that bank statement wasn't in English, of course it was, so they must of seen it now. They are just playing games, still not on, this was 10 days ago, When it's cloudy or raining, it does work, All around this has to be at least one of the worst company I ever done business with.
With the ping rate so high, you will never game online - even though in ViaSat only tells you "some online games might not work" - ALL online games wont work. At max you need the ping below 100ms. The worst, and reason for my rating... "Unlimited" (100gb) Plan - costs $189 per month. While during the day you can expect 250 KB/s up to 1.5 MB/s speed... going over the 100gb however, I'm getting 50 KB/s speed. Repeat, 50 KB/s -- to make a comparison, SLOW dialup internet in 2000 was 56 KB/s, you could get 256 KB/s on DSL. That's DIALUP SPEEDS if you go past the 100gb plan for $189 a month. A 720p/1 hour video will cost you 1 GB of data. A 1080p/1 hour video will cost 1.5gb. 4K videos are about 7gb per hour - but you wont be streaming in 4K because you'll never get the speed to support it. 2b1af7f3a8
